Research: collage-assemblage-pop up books. Research: Lance Letscher, Rauschenberge, Schwitters

-Principles of Composition:  
     *Balance
     *Contrast
     *Focus (Emphasis)
     *Movement
     *Pattern
     *Proportion
     *Rhythm
     *Unity


- Rhythm:
     *When the regular repetition of particular forms or elements occurs in a work of art, that work is said  
        to have rhythm.  It suggests motion.

- Repetition:
     *Repetition is created when objects, shapes, space, light, direction, lines etc. are repeated in artwork.

-Collage:
     *From the French meaning "paste up". The combination of pieces of cloth, magazines and other found objects to create artwork.

- Assemblage:
     * is an artistic process in which a three dimentional artistic composition is made from putting together found objects.

- Pop-Up Books:
     * The term popu-up book is often applied to any three-dimensional or movable book, although properly the umbrella term movable book covers pop-ups, transformations, tunnel books, volvelles, flaps, pull tabs, pop-outs, pull downs, and more, each of which performs in a different manner.







- Lance Letscher:
     * Born in 1962 Austin, Tx.
     * Still lives in Austin, Tx.
     * Studied at UT in Austin. 
     * Has a B.F.A and a  M.F.A







- Kurt Schwitters
     * Born in 1887 Hanover, Germany
     * Died 1948 Kendal, Germany.
     * Went to school at Dresden Acadamy






- Robert Rauschenburg:
     *Born 1925 Port Arthur, Tx.
     *Died 2008 Captiva, Fl.
     *Went to school at: Kansas City Art Institute, Academie Julian, Black Mountain College, and Art Students League of New York.






(My favorite artist out of these three is Robert Raushenburg)
